Pain and Spine Specialists concentrates on providing superb patient care to those who suffer from moderate to severe pain. The primary outcome is to improve quality of life and overall functionality through comprehensive treatment which includes medication management, physical and chiropractic therapy, interventional treatments, and/or referrals for surgery. Dr. Rao has obtained his Medical Doctorate from St. George’s University School of Medicine, and is the founder of Pain and Spine Specialists. Dr. Rao and his staff pride themselves on treating each and every patient with the same respect and care they would for their own family. They realize and stress that each patient deserves the time and care to express their individual concerns, which demand a truly individualized treatment. Each and every patient shall be granted the appropriate amount of time to be evaluated and given ample time to discuss the treatment paradigm. The goal remains to treat everyone who enters through the doors as family.
Dr. Badarinath was born and raised in central New Jersey. He attended college at Rutgers University and medical school at the Medical College of Virginia. He completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sinai Hospital/University of Maryland, where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During this year, his focus was on fluoroscopically guided spinal procedures and he was involved in research projects. He then worked in a private practice along the Jersey Shore before deciding to join Dr Rao at Pain and Spine Specialists of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Solmaz Pirzadeh is a native Marylander who grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. She attended The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland for both her undergraduate education and medical school training. Dr. Pirzadeh completed residency in Anesthesiology, Pain and Critical Care Medicine as well as a Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Harvard University-Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Pirzadeh will be joining Dr. Rao and Dr. Badarinath at Pain and Spine Specialists of Maryland and shares their passion and enthusiasm for helping patients live life without pain.View all Doctors
